My Baden-Powell Party

I joined the Girl Guides when I was seven (as a Brownie) and since I was thirteen I've been working on my Baden-Powell challenge badge. It was named so after Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the Scout and Guide movement (who may, or may not, have been a pedo) and it's the highest award a Guide can achieve. Now, I've been working on this badge for four years and It's a good feeling to finally get the actual, tangiable thing. My friend Rhiannon and I got to choose a theme of our choice, so naturally we chose Harry Potter!
We spent weeks planning games/costumes/food/activities and it was a very fun night. My niece also attended in fancy costume (I have suceeded in malipulating her brain into liking HP) and it was very cute seeing her have a good time. We played gay (I mean that in the classical literal sense; as in 'merry') games and ate cake :D Everybody made an effort to dress up; as Hedwig, a moving portrait, Professor Sprout and Professor Trelawney! I was Sirius, natually.
Anyway now that we have this badge, awarded to us by the honourable district commissiner, we can 'graduate' and move on to become Young Leaders and even get our ALQ!
I'm only blogging about this because I'm not quite sure what else to talk about and my page looked terrible lonely and lonesome :( I suspect nobody cares, but guess what I don't care. Anyway, this is my first attempt at a blog. I'm never quite sure how to wrap things up, so I'll leave you with this;

I used to know a boy called Tony Glasscock. You could always see him coming.
